Our story
Ad Astra Tours was born from a passion for Cape Verde: for its islands, its music, its people. We are a small outfit of local guides and seasoned travellers who chose to turn our knowledge of the archipelago into shared experiences.
What sets us apart
- Local guides: whoever accompanies you knows the island inside out, speaks the language and shares stories you won't find in any guidebook.
- Small groups: a maximum of 12 people per excursion, to protect the places and create a more intimate experience.
- Authenticity: real experiences, built with the people who live on the island every day.
- Respect for the land: we work with local cooperatives and sustainable operators.
Where to find us
We're present on all the main islands of the archipelago. Our operating base is in Boavista, but we also run excursions on Sal, São Vicente, Santo Antão, Fogo and Santiago.
